I switched to Canon in 1995, and have been using their cameras, lenses, speedlites and accessories ever since. My images have been featured in 36 books and 11 apps. The gear has never let me down.
As a Canon Explorer of Light, I give about a dozens seminars around the country each year. Good fun for sure.
Check out all my Canon gear on My Gear page.
X-Rite is the global leader in color science and technology. The Company develops, manufactures, markets and supports innovative color solutions through measurement systems, software, color standards and services.
Check out the ColoriMunki and Passport Color Checker.
If you have been to my lighting workshops, you have seen my Westcott softboxes and reflectors and diffusers.
You maybe even have seen me using my Rick Sammon Light Controller and Tote – the portable reflector/diffuser kit that I designed. I am honored to be a Westcott Top Pro Elite.
SQUARESPACE is my home on the web. It's an all-in-one location for my workshops, seminars, galleries, apps, gear, on-line classes and more. I switched to SQUARESPACE because I needed an easy do-it-yourself web site with awesome, customizable templates. If you want to improve your on-line image, and want to have your images look great on the web, give these guys a try.
BorrowLenses.com really should be called "borroweverything.com," because these guys rent just everything when it comes to still photography and video.
All gear is thoroughly checked out before it's sent out, so you can be assured of getting great gear when you need it.
Customer support is awesome, too.
The new Drobo 5N is the third member in the new family of vastly improved Drobos for professionals. It like other Drobos is powered by BeyondRAID, and includes the latest advances from Drobo: state of the art hardware and software architecture, support of hard drives and SSDs for capacity and performance, and battery-backed cache data protection. The main difference between the 5N and 5D is connectivity: Ethernet for easy sharing between computers instead of Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 for direct connection to a single computer. The 5N can be accessed simultaneously by multiple computers, Mac or Windows, where the 5D is formatted for use by a specific Mac or Windows computer for higher-speed storage for creative applications. Without the components for Thunderbolt and USB 3.0, the price of the 5N is $250 lower @ $599, $50 of which is the Thunderbolt cable included with 5D.
I'm lovin' Perfectly Clear - a Photoshop and Lightroom plug-in, as well as an iPhone and iPad app, that lets you quickly and easily turn a flat shot into a fab shot, or a snapshot (dull in color and contrast) into a great shot (one with more details and color). If you are totally hyper, as I am, quick fixes are just a click away. Or, if you want to fine-tune an image - adjusting white balance, tone, color, clarity and noise - fast moving sliders area there for your corrective enhancement pleasure.
